Book Reviews

(Still updating... more reviews and books I recommend to come)

It's much greater than the first edition, with better editing, all new material such as a great character guild, an Author Page on his journey of writing his book, and a new map. It also has a different page layout, which gives it a neat feel. Rise of the Dibor, is a beautiful story and will always be one of my all time favorites. It's very unique, moving and a tale to not be forgotten. His characters are lovely and detailed, even though he has many, you bond to every one. His story is passionate and very touching... this book is fiction, but you will be greatly moved by the spiritual themes. If you crave a book full of heart, with lots of adventure, characters that you can feel and love, and a deep message, then I guarantee you will greatly enjoy, Rise of the Dibor.

Bridge Called Hope by Kim Meeder is a beautiful book of stories of triumph from The Ranch of Rescued Dreams.

"During the darkest days I'd ever known, I was introduced to the unconditional love of a little horse and a merciful God, and my life has never been the same," says author Kim Meeder. And her book proves that hope is not only for us to keep...but to give.
Sometimes, just believing in someone is enough for them to start believing in themselves...
Kim Meeder is the cofounder and director of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, an organization that rescues abused and dying horses and pairs them with children in need. Children who have never know what it feels to be loved. Bridge Called Hope is a beautiful, moving book that shows Gods love for us and how he'll never let us go. Animals are truly angels among us.
The only bad thing I can say about this book is to not read it in public, because you will cry.. it's that moving!

The Birthright Project by Kathryn Mackel is an unforgettable series...a fantasy thriller with a heart of faith and an irresistible spirit of adventure.
I LOVE these books. Outriders was the first book I read from the talented Kathryn Mackel. She had me hooked from the very first page. Not only is her story of The Birthright Project fascinating, but her characters are so lovable. You can relate with them and I felt as if I grew with them in their struggles and with God. The only bad thing I can say about this beautiful series is that sadly the third and finale book was cancelled . Kathryn Mackel does do a good job at ending the series, but I wasn’t a hundred percent satisfied. Many questions were left unanswered, one being a character named Timothy. But please don’t let this stop you from reading these books. They are worth it! I promise you

(This is book one in this wonderful series.)
Hunter Brown by The Miller Brothers, was fun, exciting, and most of all had a wonderful message. I love reading books with a nice, good, Christian message in them and The Miller Brothers did it with flying colors. I really liked how the Miller Brothers wrote Hunter Brown in first person form, Hunter was the one telling the whole story, I thought it was pretty neat. The book is physically really beautiful. Being an artist and writer myself I would find it to be a dream come true to be able to write the book, design the cover, and have some of your own drawings inside...wow.The only bad thing I can say about Hunter Brown is that I was a little confused for a while in the beginning of the book between two characters Stretch and Strubbs, I kept mixing them up. I think it was because they both start with the letter “S” and they both were Hunters best friends. I also realized the Miller Brothers really like names/things that start with “S”. Other then that the book was a great read and I would recommend it to boys and girls 12 to young adult.

The Enclave By Karen Hancock, will go down on my favorite list. I highly enjoyed this very original SciFi slightly fantasy book. Karen Hancock, is an incredibly talented writer. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of her books before, but next time I’m at the local Christian book store I’m defiantly grabbing book one of “Legends of the Guardian King.” The thing I liked the most about “The Enclave,” were the Characters, they had so many different layers to them.
Though I loved this book I wouldn’t recommend it to just anyone without warning them of a few things.
One: This book for sure isn’t a book for children. It doesn’t have any curse words in it, but it does have graphic death images and some sexual undertones that wouldn’t be appropriate to the age under sixteen (In my opinion).
And Two: I know a lot of us Christians have different opinions of Genesis Six, on the Fallen Angels, it’s not the main part of the book, but does have a big role in it. I know it is a very controversial topic and though this book is fictional and the Nephilim are in Karen Hancock’s view, it could be very disturbing to some Christians and could even make some angry.
I hope this doesn’t stop you from reading this book. Truly it is a beautiful book, I could even read again, but I always appreciate good warnings before I read a book, see a movie, or anything else.

Taylor J. Beisler is a seventeen year old talented Christian lady with a great heart and truly an inspiration to all of us young writers. Not only is this girl a talented writer, but she is also a wonderful soccer player, a huge encourager, and a great artist, she did the cover for her first book... wow.
~My Praise for Arint Sattar: Warrior’s Light
With unforgettable characters, someone who never thought he would be the last hope for his world, a young man who bravely fights off the darkness to choose a light he has never known, but has always wanted, a dragon like creature and creepy bad guys set in a brand new world with a Christian twist, how could you not want to read this book? There is also a whole new language which sometimes I had a hard time with, but Taylor made it flow smooth with simple footnotes on the bottom of the page. The only bad thing I can say about this book is that it ended too fast, I wanted more. Arint Sattar: Warrior's Light will never leave my memory and will always be on my top favorite list. I can't wait to see what else God has in store for Taylor J. Beisler.

~My praise on, The Clash of Worlds:
Taylor J. Beisler, is a very talented young lady. Her writing is unique and beautiful. The way she uses her words, warms your soul. The Clash of Worlds, was even greater than, Warrior's Light. From the very first chapter your heart is stuck...I can't look at the moon the same. Taylor's characters are real and deep. Her story is touching and unforgettable, there is more than meets the eye beyond this story. God has blessed this beautiful hearted young lady, with a wonderful quality for writing, and she has greatly blessed others with it. Don't miss out on this series and keep an eye out for the name Taylor J. Beisler, we're sure to see more greatness from her in the future!

I have only a few favorite authors, Christopher Hopper and Wayne Thomas Batson are two of them. When I found out that they were writing a new epic book series together I was so excited, truly it can't get any more cool than that... at least for me lol.
Never in my twenty-years of life have I owned so many copies of one book, it’s kinda crazy, but it brings so much joy and excitement to give as a gift to others. One copy I gave to my mom, now my mom never ever reads or touches anything fantasy, so mind you this was truly HUGE. She was sucked into Allyra from the very first page and gobbled it up in four days. She said“Wow... that was a great book, the characters were very lovable, the authors sure know kids, but the spiders were so creepy I couldn’t read it at night." Neither could I lol. She even unfortunately had a creepy, not so little encounter, very similar to Jimmy's, in Chapter 26, one night, and after that vowed to never read the book at night again! She has said she will for sure read the second book. How’s that for a person that stays clear away from anything fantasy? Now my mom is looking through my bookshelf for books to read even more than she did before, considering about all of them are fantasy lol.

Another copy I gave away to a sweet, but broken hearted twelve-year old that loves to read, especially fantasy. When I heard her and her younger sister playing in her grandparents back yard (which are my neighbors) I instantly thought I should give her a copy of this book. Bringing my younger sister Hayley with me, we walked next-door and we were joyfully surprised to found out it was her birthday, how cool was that? Her face beamed with surprise as we handed her the book. “Curse of the Spider King... wow... this looks cool. Thank you!” she said giving us a huge hug. A week later we received a card telling us thank you again and that the book was AWESOME!

What did I think of Curse of the Spider King? Will... I loved it. A whole new world, with great characters that you can relate too, the best and I mean best creepiest bad guys you could possibly think of... one being spiders, yikes, tons of action that easily plays out like a movie in your mind, and an intriguing story that I'm sure is going to get even more interesting as the series progresses ... need I say more?

I was not confused with any of the characters... not once, which surprised me considering there were seven main characters and many others. I truly don’t have anything bad to say about this book... really I don’t... cant think of anything. It's a nice easy flowing read and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Just remember not to read it at bedtime.
You can purchase Curse of the Spider King here http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1400315050

Now I didn’t have any spider problems like I did from reading The Curse of the Spider King. lol Seriously that was creepy. Venom and Song follows right after the end of Curse of the Spider King.
With more epic battles, more scary bad guys, a touch of romance, and a great sacrifice from one of the seven... Venom and Song was just as awesome as Curse of the Spider King. I would highly recommend The Berinfell Prophecies. You can relate to the characters no matter what age you are. The authors have done a beautiful job at making a new series that you'll want to read again and again and share with your family and friends.
Go buy Curse of the Spider King and Venom and Song today :-) I guarantee that you will love it!

Book Three, will be coming next year...
