My Review~
The truth is I wasn’t a fan of this book. I didn’t hate it…
I just didn’t enjoy it. One big thing I greatly disliked and is a complaint from most readers, was Emily's dad. No
descent parent would be that mean to their daughter. If she was a known liar
than I would understand, but she wasn’t. Emily’s character wasn’t bad and it
made me dislike the dad throughout the entire book. In a big way he seemed
abusive and I don’t mean to sound dramatic on that.
Some things in the story line were just a bit too over dramatic for me, while
others were things we all can relate with.
The good things I liked about this book was that it did have
a Nancy Drew feel. Who doesn’t like Nancy Drew? ;-) I also liked the theme of
Search and Rescue with canines. It was interesting and nicely put together. Girls who love their dogs would greatly enjoy it. The loyalty
of true friendship was sweet and siblings
coming together in a time of need was also a nice plus. Emily was a very likable character and the mystery of who really stole
the necklace was very well done.
