I saw these two great little post and felt like I should share them. I hope tomorrow I'll have something more original... I have bloggers block. Haha... I hope these lovely words from a person named Wilma, bless you. They truly are full of good wisdom!
Like Jonah, if we are not careful we can be spiritually "looking good"
on the outside, but far from God in our hearts. He is most interested in
what we are like on the inside. His Word is "sharper than a two-edged
sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit" (Heb. 4:12).
With it , He performs divine surgery to remove the greed, dishonesty,
hatred, pride, and selfishness that live in the deep shadows of our
hearts. Then the Lord said "is it right for for you to be angry?" (Jonah
4:4)The Word is a Blessing!
The Old testament book of Proverbs urges us to carefully consider the
long- term results of all our choices. The phrase "in the end" (Proverbs
5:4; 25:8; 29:21) is a warning to look down the road and ask if what
we're attracted to will ultimately lead to joy or sorrow, honor or
disgrace, life or death. "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth
comes knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the
upright" (2:6-7). to avoid tragic results of foolish choices is
embracing God's wisdom as our guide through life.
